KARACHI, Sept 15: Engro Foods Limited (EFL) plans to spend over $200 million in next five years in order to achieve its vision of emerging as a global player.

CEO of the company Sarfraz Rehman addressing a news conference here on Friday said firstly the company would be transformed into national food giant then into a regional force and finally a global player.

He further said that the board of directors had already approved Rs2 billion investment plan for next year which included capacity expansion by setting up a plant in the central Punjab.

He announced that the capacity of the existing plant in Sukkur would be enhanced from 200,000 litre of milk daily to 300,000 by next year.—APP
