TOBA TEK SINGH, Sept 14: Three people, including two women, sustained injuries when the gun of a bank security guard went off accidentally in Gojra on Thursday. Allied Bank security guard Nawazish Ali was sitting with a guest Shafiq of Chak 288 JB. Shafiq started checking his loaded gun which went off accidentally as a result of which Nadeem of Chak 288 GB, Shamim of Chak 180 GB and Amna of Chak 520 GB sustained injuries. They were rushed to Gojra THQ hospital from where Nadeem was referred to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, in critical condition.
CANAL BREACH: A breach in Dabanwala Canal on Thursday morning inundated a vast area in Chak 297 GB.
Water gushing out of the 10-foot wide breach damaged standing crops. Later, the breach widened to 15 feet. — Correspondent
