KARACHI, Sept 14: Four ships carrying containers, edible oil and furnace oil were allotted berths at QICT, MPT and Fotco Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with diesel oil, coke and LPG also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy stood at 70pc as eight ships were busy in loading and offload containers, cement, sugar, edible oil and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 74,749 tons comprising 55,558 tons of import and 19,191 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Three ships, Jemima, CMA CGM Nilgai and Chem Rose were expected to leave the port on Thursday.
