Two killed in Landi Kotal

LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Sept 11: Two people were killed and another two injured in fighting between rival religious groups in Tirah valley on Monday. Reports from the valley said that armed activists of Lashkar-i-Islam and Ansaar-ul-Islam were locked in heavy gunfight against each other since a jirga comprising local Jamiat-e-Ulama-e-Islam leaders failed to negotiate a ceasefire between the rival groups. The casualties occurred in Warsak and Lar Bagh localities where supporters of rival groups clashed on Sunday night.
