11 held with illegal weapons

ATTOCK, Feb 12: The Hazro police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 11 people with illegal weapons in different parts of the district.

The team caught one Muhammad Nawaz of district Deepalpur, Okara, with three hand grenades after raiding a Rawalpindi-bound vehicle near Hattian, GT Road.

Others arrested were Sher Afzal, Abdul Ghaffar, Tahir Mahmood, Asghar Ali, Farman, Shahid Mahmood, Irfan, Muhammad Illyas, Sher Akbar, Razzaq Masih. Weapons, including a rifle, three pistols, 12 bullets, and 500g of hashish were recovered from their possession, police claimed.

The police have registered separate cases.
