VEHARI, Sept 9: Thingi police on Saturday registered a case against two police officials for misappropriating 50 kilograms of hashish and Rs200,000 in cash recently recovered from alleged drug pushers a few days ago.
Thingi police SHO Inspector Bashir and Sub-Inspector Akram arrested three people from Chak 69/WB and recovered the contraband and the cash from their possession.
Later, they misappropriated both the items.
The DPO held an inquiry on a complaint and charges were proved. He suspended both of them from service and ordered registration of a case against them.
However, both the officials are still at large.
