Zone-I Whites reach semis

KARACHI, Sept 8: Zone-I Whites have joined Zone-II Whites and Zone-II Blues in semi-finals of the KCCA Inter-zonal under-17 cricket championship by defeating Zone-IV Whites by four wickets here at the KCCA Stadium on Thursday.

Pacer Waqas Imtiaz grabbed three wickets for 24 runs as the winners restricted their opponents to 86 in 28.4 overs.

They achieved the target in 27.1 overs.

In another match, Zone-IV Blues thrashed Zone-V Blues by 63 runs at the Landhi Gymkhana while Zone-VI Blues registered win over Zone-VII Greens at the TMC Ground.

Zone-IV Blues bt Zone-V Blues by 63 runs.

Zone-IV Blues 214-9 in 50 overs (Javed Ramzan 91, S. M. Adeel 50, Wasim Razzaq 36; M. Zeeshan 4-39, Ather Khan 2-16) Zone-V Blues 151 all out in 42 overs (Izhar Hussain 31, Shahrukh 23, M. Talha 19; Kaleemullah 4-42).

Zone-VI Blues bt Zone-VII Greens by nine wickets.
