Mason killed in roof collapse

GUJRANWALA, Sept 8: A mason was killed while six other people, including a factory owner, sustained injuries when the roof of a factory caved in during its repair in Baghbanpura here on Friday.

Reports said that factory’s roof of Muhammad Ibrahim was badly affected during the recent rain.

He was getting the roof repaired when it suddenly collapsed on them. The area people recovered them from under the rubble. Mason Muhammad Ali was found dead while the owner and labourers Ibrahim, Abdul Ghani, Anwar, Shahid and Ilyas suffered serious injuries.

They were admitted to the local DHQ Hospital in critical condition.

SHOT DEAD: A vagabond shot dead a youth and injured another over a minor issue in Ghakkhar Town on Friday.

Deceased Sajjad Ahmad was playing video games with his friend Irfan when accused Saqib came there and started quarrelling with them. Later, he brought a pistol from his house and opened fire on them. The former died on the way to the local DHQ Hospital while the latter was in critical condition.

Police have registered a case against the accused.
