10 hurt as rivals clash

GUJRANWALA, Sept 8: As many as 10 people, including a woman, were injured in hours long clash between two rival groups in Kikranwala, Ferozwala here on Friday. Reports said two men of UC nazim Amir Ahmed Bajwa group and Nasir Ahmed group quarrelled with each other. Later, a number of people from both the parties resorted to firing as a result of which Khadija Bibi, Ejaz Ahmed, Shehzad, Farooq, Ahmad Farooq and others sustained injuries. They were rushed to local DHQ hospital.

The Ferozwala Road which linked dozens of villages with the city remained closed owing to firing, causing a great deal of inconvenience to the people.
