KARACHI, Sept 8: MQM chief Altaf Hussain has said that elder politician Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti’s assassination was a national tragedy.

Reiterating his demand for resolving the issues with understanding and instead of use of force by holding talks, he said for the sake of survival and solidarity of the country provinces should be accorded full autonomy.

Mr Hussain made this demand while addressing a meeting at the International Secretariat in London which was attended among others by Dr Imran Farooq, Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, deputy convener Tariq Javed, Dr Farooq Sattar, federal minister Babar Ghauri, Sindh minister Adil Siddiqui and others .

Regretting the murder of Nawab Bugti, he said “we all join in the grief of heirs of Nawab Bugti and Baloch people.”

In the meeting, affairs of the party’s organization and political situation and performance of Haq Parast representatives was also reviewed.

The MQM chief directed them to serve people with dedication without wasting time like they served the people in the aftermath of October earthquake

He also expressed concern over devastations caused by torrential rains in Hyderabad and directed the City Nazim Kanwar Naveed to work on emergency basis to provide relief to the people. He also asked the Haq Parast ministers to fully cooperate with the district government.
