Ibsen puppet at Oslo festival

Published September 7, 2006

LAHORE, Sept 6: A larger-than-life Ibsen puppet, designed by two Pakistani puppeteers, will perform for four weekends during the World Festival of Ibsen Theatre plays in Oslo.

The puppet has been presented to Ellan Horn Artistic and Managing Director of Riksteatret Theatre by the Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop as a gift to Norway from Pakistan on the occasion of Oslo Mela 2006.

Faizaan Peerzada and Mirela Radulescu designed the puppet that came as a gift to Riksteatret, since they had sent 80 puppets to the Museum of Puppetry at Lahore for six months last year, a spokesperson said on Wednesday. — Staff Reporter
