Outlaw arrested in crackdown

PESHAWAR, Sept 6: The city police have arrested the suspected ringleader of an inter-provincial gang during a crackdown against outlaws in the Badaber area, a police official said.

Chief of the Capital City Police, Haji Habibur Rehman, on receiving secret information about presence of notorious outlaws had ordered their arrest. A police party led by SSP Operation Iftikhar Khan raided hideouts of the gang in Bara Sheikhan and arrested ringleader of an inter-provincial gang Janis Khan.

The police also arrested outlaws Samiullah, Hidayatullah, Ghulam Nabi, Zahid, Muhammad Nazir, Kamin Shah, Qiamat Shah, Yousaf, Sardar, Azizur Rehman, Gul Jan, Hasham and Maqabali during raid besides seizing a rocket launcher, eight Kalashnikovs, three pistols and hundred of rounds.—APP
