KARACHI, Sept 6: Special arrangements for cleanliness around graveyards, mosques and shrines have been ordered in view of Shab-i-Barat.

Moreover, the government has decided to strictly enforce the ban on fireworks and legal action would be taken against violators.

All DCOs have been asked to initiate repair of roads leading to graveyards, lighting and removal of encroachments.

Sindh Chief Secretary, Fazlur Rehman directed the concerned officials to ensure cleanliness around graveyards, and mosques on the occasion. He said that accumulated rainwater be removed in low lying areas.

The police officials were directed to take special security measures in connection with observance of Shab-i-Barat.

The traffic police have been directed to improve traffic flow and take steps to avoid traffic jams.—APP
