KARACHI, Sept 5: At least 63 persons were deprived of their vehicles and cellphones from different parts of the city on Tuesday.

Police sources said that a car was snatched at gunpoint and 11 cars were reported stolen from various parts of the city.

Similarly, six motorcycles were snatched at gunpoint and six were reported stolen on Tuesday.

Police sources said that 15 people were deprived of their cellphones at gunpoint and 22 cellphones were reported stolen while two cellphones were reported missing on Tuesday, police sources said.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Dacoity and Robbery Cell (ADRC) nabbed four members of an inter-provincial street criminals' gang and seized snatched cellphones, motorbikes and arms from their possession, PPI adds.

A special police party, headed by Sub-Inspector Taj Mohammad, on a tip-off conducted raids at the Electronics Mar ket Saddar and arrested Akram, Khan, Sunil and Mohammad Akhtar.

The team seized 10 snatched mobile phones, two TT pistols with two magazines, nine bullets and two motorbikes.

The initial probe revealed that the gang leader Akram hailed from the interior of Sindh, Mohammad Akhtar from Punjab and Khan belonged to the NWFP.
