MIRPURKHAS, Sept 5: The People’s Party Parliamentarians has said that provincial and district governments have failed to provide relief to rain-affected people.

In a joint press statement issued here, the divisional president of PPP, Mirpurkhas and MNA Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani, district president Haji Noor Hassan Chandio, Hari Ram Kishorilal, Siddique Memon, Ali Akbar Panhwar and Malik Yaseen Ghori, said that thousands of people were deprived of food, ration packets and other facilities as they had taken shelter at the roads and in government buildings.

They said that after lapse of ten days, no aid or relief goods were provided to them, while food, ration packets and other facilities were being provided only to favourites. —Correspondent
