KHA plans to resume activity

Published September 2, 2006

KARACHI, Sept 1: Karachi Hockey Association (KHA) will meet on Sunday to discuss and finalize its activity calendar, KHA announced on Friday.

In its executive committee meeting, the KHA will chalk-out a programme for hockey activity in the city. Apart from tournaments, it will also discuss coaching camps to be held for grooming the youngsters.

KHA has been fairly active since the March 12 polls despite the fact that PHF had constituted a “committee” to look after the Karachi hockey affairs, rejecting the KHA elections which were held under the supervision of PHF-nominated coordinator Sindh, Qamar Mansoor and the Sindh Sports Board.

On March 23, the Sindh High Court restrained PHF from interfering into the KHA affairs till the next date of hearing.
