LAHORE, Sept 1: Ruling PML president Shujaat Husain says he had asked Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousaf to make necessary arrangements if the family of the late Nawab Akbar Bugti wanted to participate in the burial of the former governor in Dera Bugti.
In a statement here on Friday, he said it was the personal decision of the bereaved family not to join the funeral prayers.
Shujaat said he and secretary-general Syed Mushahid Husain had also made efforts to get the body recovered from the cave at the earliest possible.
He said he had personally phoned Talal Bugti and offered a helicopter if he and the rest of the family members wanted to visit the place where the tragedy had taken place. But, he said, the son of the late JWP president declined the offer after consultation with other people.
