PPP reviews arrangements for ARD moot

LAHORE, Sept 1: The PPP held a meeting here on Friday to discuss arrangements for the Sept 10 ARD public meeting at Minar-i-Pakistan.

Party’s provincial president Qasim Zia presided over the meeting which was attended among others by Haji Azizur Rehman Chan, Zakariya Butt, Naveed Chaudhry, Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, Samiullah Khan, Altaf Qureshi, Zafar Masood Bhatti, Sajida Mir and Shamim Niazi.

Qasim Zia said in his address that the people of Punjab shared the grief of their Baloch brethren.

He said Punjab had rendered sacrifices in the past and would continue to do so in the future.

Mr Chan directed the party workers to participate in large numbers in the Sept 10 meeting.

A meeting of the PPP’s provincial executive will be held here on Sept 5 to review preparations for the Minar-i-Pakistan meeting.

Farzana Raja, Malik Hafeezur Rehman, Raja Riaz and Iqbal Sialvi, in a statement, condemned the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti and the methods used by the rulers to conceal the facts.
