Published September 2, 2006

KARACHI, Sept 1: The history of Pakistan-China friendship is stretched over a period of half-century and the bilateral relations are growing stronger with the passage of time. This was observed by Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim at luncheon hosted by him in honour of a delegation of the Communist Party of China at the CM’s House here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Arbab said that China was a time-tested friend of Pakistan and peoples of both the countries were tied in the lasting bonds of love.

He observed that China had always backed Pakistan’s foreign policy and stand on various issues.

He appreciated Chinese engineers for maintaining high standards in development projects undertaken in Sindh and in this regard, particularly mentioned the talent and skills the Chinese experts currently working on the Thar Coal Project.—PPI
