KARACHI: Gutka seller punished

KARACHI, Sept 1: The regulation and quality control department of the city government, during its ongoing campaign, conducted raids in different parts of the city and collected samples of gutka.

The collected samples were sent to the city government’s food laboratory for analysis and later submitted to the concerned judicial magistrate. The judicial magistrate, Malir, Ahsan Durrani, imposed Rs10,000 as fine and awarded two-year imprisonment to a gutka seller, a city government release said on Friday.—PPI
