PESHAWAR, Aug 31: Immigration authorities of the Federal Investigation Agency at the Peshawar airport deported two nationals of African countries on Thursday who had arrived from Dubai by Emirates Airline on fake visas.

Eric Anthony of the Republic of Ivory Coast and Mariam Guma Daresa of Tanzania had arrived here by Emirates Airline flight EK-636 from Dubai, said Inamullah Khan Gandapur, assistant director of immigration.

Checking their passports, the immigration staff found their visas forged. They were subsequently deported by the same flight back to Dubai, the official said.

According to sources, 34 nationals of African countries have been deported this year for having fake visas. One of them even had travelled without any visa to Peshawar. Security features of the Pakistani visa were not much complicated and it was easy to make forged visas, said Shaukat Awan, station manager of Emirates Airline here.
