Man killed, eight hurt in accident

TOBA TEK SINGH, Aug 30: A man was killed while eight others injured as a result of head on collision between two motorcycle rickshaws at Dargahi canal bridge on Wednesday.

Deceased Irshad was a resident of Mian Channu.

The injured were admitted to Pirmahal and Abdul Hakeem hospitals. A seriously injured woman was referred to the DHQ hospital.

Meanwhile, a man died and four injured seriously when a car hit a roadside tree on Gojra-Faisalabad Road on Wednesday evening.

Khurshid and her family were on their way to Faisalabad by a car (LXN 888) from Gojra.

When they reached near Chak 281 JB Dawakhri, driver Naeem lost control over steering due to high speed and the vehicle rammed into a tree.

As a result of which Khurshid died on the spot while driver Naeem and three children Zaibun Nisa, Taimoor and Talha suffered injuries.

They were admitted to Gojra THQ hospital from where Talha and Taimoor were referred to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad, due to critical condition.
