Trader robbed of Rs3.5m

MANDI BAHAUDDIN, Aug 29: Robbers plundered cash and valuables worth Rs3.5 million from a tradesman’s house in a city area on Monday morning.

Reports said five armed men entered the house of Dewaan Sabir Qureshi, a known trader, on the Wasoo Road around 7am. They held up the inmates and took away 130 tolas of gold ornaments and Rs1,135,000 in cash and prize bonds valuing Rs350,000, four cell phones and other valuables.

The loss is estimated to touch Rs3.5 million and the city police have started investigation.

DISTINCTION: Zonia Abdul Ghaffar, daughter of Abdul Ghaffar Gondal advocate, has topped in the Government College for Women in pre-medical part-I examination by securing 494 marks.
