KARACHI, Aug 29: Columnist Nasim Zehra has declined to accept Sitara-i-Imtiaz in protest against the recent killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti by security forces. A statement emailed on Tuesday says Ms Zehra returned the award, for which she had been nominated by the president on Aug 14, to protest the “state’s proclivity to opt for the use of force to settle complex political problems”.
