ISLAMABAD, Aug 28: Security at the Parliament House was tightened on Monday to avert any untoward incident after the death of Jamhoori Watan Party chief Nawab Akbar Bugti in a military operation.

Special checking was conducted of the vehicles of MNAs, whereas all employees, mediapersons and visitors were frisked prior to their entry into the parliament.

According to security authorities, there were reports of serious response to the killing of the JWP chief, therefore foolproof security arrangements had been made by the government.

Entrance cards of persons arriving at the Parliament House were specially verified and no one was allowed to enter the premises without the cards.

The number of police and security agencies personnel deployed inside as well as outside the parliament building has also been increased. Security was also beefed up at the government installations and buildings.—Online
