PESHAWAR, Aug 25: The NWFP government will soon recruit 700 senior English teachers and 500 subject specialists on an ad hoc basis to overcome shortage of teaching staff in the province.

A decision to this effect was taken during a meeting held in Peshawar on Thursday with Education Minister Maulana Fazle Ali Haqqani in the chair. Secretary schools and literacy Amjad Shahid Afridi, director schools Fazal Manan, director colleges Prof Mohammad Amin and other officers attended the meeting.
