KARACHI, Aug 18: Six vessels carrying containers, sugar and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Calvin P. Titus, Kota Mesra to unload and load containers and Al-Marwah to offload chemicals were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed included Ever Govern, Hynudai Future, Y.M.Star, Kama Bum, Oel Victory, and Pearl of Sharjah, while Al-Marwah and Kota Mesra are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow because of Thursday’s heavy rain and fell to 53,492 tons comprising 6,734 tons of export cargo and 46,758 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Explorer-1, to load 12,000 tons of sugar, Rabam, with 15,042 tons of sugar, oil, shwaraya, Cape Santiago, with containers, Pacific Pioneer, with coal and Atlantic Trader, with general cargo.
