MUZAFFARABAD, Aug 9: People on Wednesday protested against the arrest of some quake survivors, including women and children, who were calling for the provision of their fair share of earthquake relief in front of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat here.

The protesters told journalists that they were arrested for protesting against non-payment of the first instalment of compensation amounting to Rs25,000.

They called upon prime minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan to take stern action against people responsible for their arrest besides urging upon him to take immediate steps to release the first instalment of compensation of earthqauke relief.
