MIRPURKHAS, Aug 9: An emergency meeting of the PML-F, Mirpurkhas chapter, condemned efforts of local PML office-bearers to bring a no-confidence move against the district nazim.

The meeting was held here on Tuesday which was presided over by organizer Javed Papa.

It was attended by Basheer Ahmed Arain, Faqeer Sajan Maher, Malik Allah Din, Saeed Hashmi, Shafqat Laugher, Shahid Mughal, Younus Arain, Zulfiqar Arain, Mohammed Iqbal, Saeed Chuttan and others.

The meeting said that local PML office-bearers and elected representatives were creating hurdles in the smooth functioning of the district government by artificial means.

It condemned reports carried by newspapers indicating that efforts were under way to bring a no-confidence move against District Nazim Dr Sughra Junejo by local PML leaders and elected representatives in the district council.

The meeting observed that corrupt elements of the ruling PML were trying to blackmail the district nazim although a number of development schemes were being executed by her in the district to ensure progress.
