KGC elections

KARACHI, Aug 8: The annual elections of the Karachi Golf Club (KGC) for 2006-7 will be held in October, Executive Officer of the KGC, Capt (retd) Khalid A. Anwar said on Tuesday.

He said the dates for holding elections will be announced in due course of time. By virtue of his office, Commander Karachi serves as president of the KGC.

The members will elect a managing committee which includes vice president, club captain and convenors of sub-committees.

The Chief of the Naval Staff who is Patron-in-Chief of KGC nominates three persons on the managing committee in addition to Commanding Officers PNS Karsaz and PNS Bahadur who are ex-officio members.
