KARACHI, Aug 8: Two ships carrying oil and chemicals were accommodated berths at Fotco Terminal and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday. Berth occupancy stood at 67pc as six ships, Precious, Constantinos-G, Yong Xiang-9, Kisogawa, Green Park and Al-Mukhtarah, were busy in loading and unloading cement, sugar, chemicals, edible oil and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 73,506 tons comprising 72,834 tons of import and 672 tons of export tonnage was handled. Sailings were active as Silver Fern, London and Kisogawa left the port while Al-Mukhtarah was due to depart. Two container ships, Mumbai Express and Acx Mimosa, were due to arrive on Wednesday.
