KARACHI, Aug 5: Pakistan Railways resumed normal train service, with the exception of a few trains that take an extra hour to reach Hyderabad as they passed through a makeshift bridge near Ran Pathani railway station in Thatta district.
Railway authorities said that the bridge would be rebuilt in at least two months but a temporary bridge had been constructed to resume the train service from Karachi.
A railway official said that a test train had been sent to Hyderabad from Karachi on Friday night but the train service was resumed on Saturday.
