Military team for Irish golf

KARACHI, Aug 5: A seven-member combined military team is due to leave for Ireland on Aug 12 to feature in the CISM Golf being held there from Aug 13 to 19.

Tariq Mahmood of Navy who won the individual title at Karachi Golf Club last year will defend his crown.

Pakistan settled for third place in the team competition. Commodore Zafar Mahmood, a recipient of CISM Order of Merit, will captain the squad.

Team: Cdre Zafar Mahmood, Tariq Mahmood, Lt. Cdr Shazli Azher, Cdr. Ansar Mahmood, Lt. Col Shahid Warraich, Brig. Ejaz Ahad and Khushal Khan.
