Villager killed in armed clash

MIRPURKHAS, Aug 5: A villager was killed and another injured in an armed clash in the Murghai Khan village in the jurisdiction of the Khan police station on Friday.

Hot words were exchanged between two groups of people over draining out rainwater in agriculture land. One side resorted to firing, hitting one person who was later identified as Mir Zaman Khan, 21. His brother Ajab Khan also received bullet injuries.

They were rushed to the civil hospital but Mir Zaman Khan died on his way to hospital. The body was handed over to his relatives after post-mortem.

Hundreds of his community fellows gathered in the hospital. Police also arrived there after being called in by the hospital management to avoid any untoward incident.

Haji Alam Khan Murghai, father of the deceased man, lodged a case with the Khan police against Ghulam Rasool Baloch, Abdul Qadir Baloch and an unidentified person. No one was arrested till filing of the report.

CASE: The Town police have registered a case against Mohammed Sharif Kumbhar for issuing a fake cheque.
