KARACHI, Aug 2: Eight ships carrying containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Tai He, APL Jeddah, to unload and load containers, Ikan Selar to offload sugar and Iron Butterfly to offload general cargo.

Six vessels, Iran Sattari, Yasmina, Spyros-B, Keefan, Viscaua and Jo Sycamore departed on Wednesday, while Iron Butterfly, Hyundai Highway, and Dusita Naree are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow where a total tonnage of 39,145 tons comprising 10,609 tons of export cargo and 28,536 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: El-Temerario, MOL Accord, Tower Bridge, Global Prosperity, Iran Tabatabaei and Calvin P. Titus, with containers, Ro Ro Saim, to offload cars and Cosmic Challanger, with general cargo.
