ATTOCK: Another 377 kanals agricultural land belonging to PTI leader and former federal minister Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari has been put up for public auction in Jand town of Attock on Nov 11.
According to an auction notice shared by assistant commissioner Jand Ahmed Ali Raza, the property will be auctioned on the directions of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Islamabad.
The initial bidding has reportedly been fixed at Rs20,000 and Rs15,000 per kanal for different portions of the land.
The auction notice comes after 771 kanals and nine marlas and another 25 kanals and seven marlas of his agricultural land had previously been auctioned by NAB.
His houses in Islamabad and Attock have also reportedly been put through auction proceedings. According to official sources, Mr Bukhari has been declared a proclaimed offender in the £190 million case.
Zulfi Bukhari, in his post on social media platform X, said nearly 800 kanals of his agricultural land had already been auctioned and that his properties in Islamabad and Attock had been sealed.
He described the latest action as political victimisation and linked it to his continued support for PTI founder Imran Khan.
Wajid Bukhari, father of Zulfi Bukhari, while talking to Dawn on phone said properties could be seized, livelihoods threatened and personal difficulties created, but political loyalty could not be secured through coercion.
He said he and his son were prepared to face the consequences but would not abandon Imran Khan.
