LAHORE, July 31: Accepting the appeals of 18 cement factories, the Lahore High Court on Monday set aside a decision of the Monopoly Control Authority (MCA) to break the cartel and lower the price by Rs60 per bag. The court held that the MCA had no authority to control the prices of cement while it was mandated to act merely as a price regulator.
