GWADAR: Aurangzeb Majeed, the younger brother of Balochistan MPA and Chief Minister’s Adviser on Sports and Youth Affairs Meena Majeed Baloch, was abducted by unidentified armed men from the Mand area of Kech district on Tuesday.

According to an official, four unidentified armed men riding two motorcycles intercepted Aurangzeb Majeed in Baloch Abad, his village, and took him away at gunpoint to an undisclosed location.

CM’s Adviser Meena Baloch confirmed the abduction of her younger brother. Security forces launched a search operation in the area to trace him. However, no information about his whereabouts was available at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Home Minister Ziaullah Langove visited the CM’s adviser at her residence in Quetta and inquired about the circumstances surrounding her brother’s abduction.

The minister said the provincial government was taking the incident seriously and that all possible efforts were being made to recover Aurangzeb Majeed.
