LAHORE, July 28: Punjab Medical College moved into PFF Cup semi-finals after a 1-1 draw with Mauripur Baloch at the University of Agriculture Ground, Faisalabad on Friday.

It was PMC's second drawn game in Group-I. They had earlier held SSGC to a 1-1 draw.

Both the goals were scored on penalty kicks in the 33rd and 66th minute of the match by Mauripur’s Farooq Rehman and Abid Hussain of the PMC.

SSGC finished Group-I with seven points while PMC secured five points to make it to the semis.

Mauripur secured four points while Baloch Club of Nushki lost all their three matches.

Meanwhile, Bannu Reds moved closer to a semi-final berth by defeating Baloch Club 3-1.

Jasim put the winners ahead in the 24th minute.

Din Badshah found the target twice in the 35th and 67th minutes to make it 3-0.

Noor Mohammad scored the solitary goal for losers in the 43rd minute.

The semi-finals will be played on July 30 and 31 followed by the final on Aug 2.—PPI
