HYDERABAD, Feb 10: A social welfare organisation, the Al-Akhtar Trust International, donated an ambulance and other items, worth Rs700,000 to the Hyderabad Central Jail on Sunday.

The Trust officials came to the prison on Sunday, and visited its different parts and donated an ambulance, 10-cartons of medicines, rupees 100,000 for a mosque, 50 mattresses, 10 bed sheets, and 50 blankets.

Mr Mazhar also promised to give ultra sound and ECG machines.

Construction of different portions of the jail is under progress ever since the new jail administration took over.
