KARACHI: Two men were shot dead by robbers in different parts of the city on Wednesday, police said.

Officials said that the robbers entered a house but a family member raised an alarm upon which they became jittery and resorted to firing, resulting in the killing of Amir Muneer, 40, and bullet wounds to his brother, Kamran, 34.

The suspects fled without any loot.

The deceased’s brother Irfan told the media that Amir was the father of four children and used to sell fruits near Patel Hospital in Gulshan-i-Iqbal. In the second incident, armed robbers attempted to loot Bilal Salam, 25, at Bin Qasim. As he put up resistance, the robbers shot him and fled. He died on the spot, police said.
