PESHAWAR: The human resource management department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued orders for promotion, transfer and fresh postings of 62 senior teachers and education officers in the higher education department.
According to an official notification, associate professors (BPS-19) of male cadre have been promoted to BPS-20 as professors and posted to various postgraduate and degree colleges across the province.
The notification said that transfers and postings would take effect immediately and were aimed at improving academic and administrative affairs in colleges.
According to the notification, Javed Akbar, the additional director of higher education, has been transferred and posted as professor at Government Degree College (GDC) Hayatabad, Peshawar.
Dr Syed Ishtiaq Hussain has been posted as professor at GDC Hayatabad for one day for technical actualisation and subsequently assigned the responsibilities of additional director of higher education.
Dr Javed Iqbal (BPS-19) has been given the charge of principal of GDC Kohi Sher Haider, Bara, Khyber, on his existing pay scale.
The promoted teachers have been directed to assume charge immediately in degree and postgraduate colleges in Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Swabi, Charsadda, Kohat, Bannu, Khyber and Bajaur districts.
The move is aimed at filling vacant positions and ensuring smooth academic and administrative operations in colleges across the province.
