PESHAWAR, July 27: The immigration wing of the FIA on Thursday arrested a man who was attempting to board a Jeddah-bound flight from Peshawar airport on his brother’s passport.

The Federal Investigation Agency had received a secret information that one Sajid Ali would attempt to fly to Jeddah by PIA flight PK-735 on forged passport, said Assistant Director immigration Inamullah Khan Gandapur.

The immigration staff was alerted and when Sajid Ali presented passport bearing No KB-607417, on which his name was mentioned as Noor Wali Sher, he was arrested.

During initial interrogation, he confessed that he was attempting to travel on his brother’s passport due to his close resemblance him.

The FIA immigration circle has registered a case and started investigation.
