KARACHI, July 27: As many as 78 people were deprived of their cars, motorbikes or cellphones at various localities here on Thursday.

Police sources said that 29 vehicles – eight cars and 21 motorbikes – were either hijacked or stolen.

One car was snatched at gunpoint and seven others were stolen whereas 13 motorcycles were taken away at gunpoint and eight others stolen.

They said that 21 people reported that their mobile phones, cash and belongings were snatched at gunpoint while 28 others complained that their cellphones were stolen in various localities.
