PESHAWAR, July 26: Private secretary to the NWFP minister for information and public relations, Mr Badshah Khan, who was hit by an aerial bullet on Monday, succumbed to his injuries at the Lady Reading Hospital on Wednesday. He was 48.

The deceased was laid to rest at Rashakai, Shabqadar the same evening. He was sleeping in the lawn of his house when he was hit by the stray bullet on his head. The deceased has left behind a wife, five daughters and two sons.

The NWFP Minister for Information and Public Relations Asif Iqbal Daudzai has expressed his grief over the death of Badshah Khan.

The minister directed the police to accelerate efforts to control aerial firing, which resulted in loss to precious lives. He also appealed to the people to eradicate the menace.—PPI
