ISLAMABAD, July 26: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said that legal reforms are being introduced for the provision of quick and speedy justice to the masses.

Talking to a delegation of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) led by its President, Justice (retd) Abdul Qayum, which called on him here on Wednesday in the Prime Minister’s House, Shaukat Aziz said that these legal reforms would be vital to provide justice at the doorsteps of the people.

He said that after the introduction of these legal reforms, the enormous burden of cases would be lessened on courts as well as it would be helpful for decision making.

The delegation of the SCBA informed the prime minister about their problems and discussed matters related to the legalization process for provision of quick and speedy justice to the masses.

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz assured the delegation for the solution of all their problems.

He said that the amount reserved for provision of quick and speedy justice had been increased.

He said that no society could progress if its people faced difficulties in getting justice.

The prime minister commended the role of lawyers and expressed hope that they would continue to play their role for the development and prosperity of the country.—Online
