PESHAWAR, July 26: NWFP Senior Minister Sirajul Haq has rejected the amendments to the syllabus made by the centre, saying that the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal government would never allow any material in the syllabus contrary to the ideological basis of the country.

Speaking as chief guest at a three-day educational and training conference held by Tanzeem-i-Asatiza Pakistan in Matta, Swat, on Wednesday, he alleged that anti-Islamic forces were conspiring to enslave the new generation through changes in the syllabus.

He said the imperial powers had attacked the education system to take the youth away from religion and eliminate Muslim civilisation and culture.

Mr Haq called upon the teachers to train students on Islamic lines and produce scientists, doctors, engineers and experts equipped with religious and scientific education.
