KARACHI, July 25: The doctors who conducted post-mortem of the bodies of Nishter Park tragedy victims, deposed on Tuesday before the Nishter Park incident inquiry tribunal, headed by Justice Rehmat Hussain Jaffery, the Judge of High Court of Sindh.

During the deposition on Tuesday, JPMC MLO, including Dr Mehboob Ali Memon and Dr Shafi Patooli, mentioned that skulls of many bodies were badly damaged.

They were of the opinion that there was a possibility that the lacerated wounds found on bodies including on skulls were caused by some hard and blunt objects or material might be discharged from explosive device.

MLO JPMC Dr Shafi Pattoli said lacerated injuries were also found at Parieto-Occipital region of skull of the dead body of one of the victim, Nafeesur Rehman while some burnt marks were found on left side of chest of the body of Mushtaq Ahmed.

To a question, doctors said they had only conducted external examinations of the bodies because they were not allowed by the violent mob to conduct detailed autopsies.

Later, the tribunal recorded the testimony of MLO JPMC, Dr Zafar Sayyal, who examined the injured of the tragedy on April 12. The proceedings was later put off till Wednesday.
