HYDERABAD, July 24: The Sindh Case Committee formed by the Sindh Qaumi Ittehad has outlined its plan to prepare a paper underlining problems confronting Sindh. The committee’s meeting was held here on Sunday at the Sindh Education Trust.

Noted scholar Ibrahim Joyo presided over the meeting.

The committee has been assigned to prepare a document on 15 basic problems of Sindh.

The document will underline political, cultural and economic problems, loot and plunder of Sindh’s resources and the rehabilitation of outsiders in the province.

The committee will also record the details of discrimination against Sindhis in armed forces and civil services, the role of the employers at national and multinational companies showing prejudice towards Sindhis.

The document will focus on the proposed formation of the city government in Hyderabad with a view to converting indigenous population of the city into a minority, injudicious distribution of water, construction of dams on the Indus River and destruction of the education system.

The Sindh case will be submitted to international organizations, foreign embassies and member states of UNO.

Ayoub Shar of the Sindh National Front, Nazeer Memon of the Awami Tehrik, Hote Khan Gadhi of the STP, Punhal Sario of the Sindh National Congress, Hashim Khoso of the JSM-J and Inam Bhatti attended the meeting.

LATIF FOUNDATION: The Shah Latif Foundation at a meeting held here on Sunday decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of immortal poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai at his shrine on July 27, in a befitting manner.

Sajjada Nasheen of the Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai shrine, Nasir Hussain Shah Latifi, presided over the meeting. New elections of the foundation were also held in which Nisar Hussain Shah Latifi was elected chief patron of the foundation.

Dr Ghulam Ali Allana was elected senior vice-chairman, Hameed Sindhi vice-chairman, Syed Waqar Hussain Shah Latifi secretary-general, Naseer Mirza joint secretary, Parwano Bhatti information secretary and Mohammad Muneer as treasurer.

A twelve-member working committee was elected which included Mazhar Hussain Shah alias Nazan Saeen and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Nisar Hussain Shah said that the foundation would make all-out efforts to disseminate message of Shah Latif.
