912 diarrhoea cases in 10 days

SIALKOT, July 23: As many as 912 cases of diarrhoea have been reported in various parts of the district, besides 12 dog-bite cases, during the last 10 days, according to the local health authorities.

Giving details of precautionary flood-relief measures, District Health Officer

Dr.Javaid Warraich informed journalists that the health department had administered TAB/cholera vaccination to more than 6,210 people, besides distributing ORS among 872 residents of the district.

The district health officer claimed that the health department’s 1,028 mobile teams had so far administered anti-polio vaccine to the district’s more than 577,885 children under five years of age.
